our start

Our story begins when we had no plans to ever make craft beer a part of our life. 

Founder Shane Mahoney joined a fraternity and became brothers with a man by the name of Matthew Keefe. He was a born and raised Kentucky boy going to school at Oregon State University. Often Matthew would bring his home brews back to school after holiday breaks and from time to time he would share stories of his brewing and distilling. 

Unfortunately Shane was never able to enjoy the privilege of brewing with him, for he took his life a year later. At that point, brewing beer went on Shane's bucket list. 

When Shane brewed for the first time,  he loved both the experience and the outcome. He also wanted to encourage others to get out there and start checking off items from their bucket lists before it's too late! He decided that with every beer we would serve up a bucket list item from someone else around the world.
